During our time away we have noted a number of recurring exaggerations that may be useful when applied to the reading of this blog.
- The estimated length of crocodiles spotted will continue to grow with the passing of time.
- The track ahead is always way rougher than anything that may have preceded it.
- The size and weight of fish caught increases after consumption.
- The height of the cliffs we dived off at Eliot Falls were almost as deep as the water we jumped in to.
- We brought all of this fire wood in from outside the National Park (Wendy is splitting hairs as she thinks this is a lie and not an exaggeration).
- These long drop toilets don’t smell.
- It’s safe to swim there.
- The next service station has cheaper fuel.
- The depth of creeks crossed increases as you drive way from them.
- The sunset was better last night!
