Recurring travel exaggerations

During our time away we have noted a number of recurring exaggerations that may be useful when applied to the reading of this blog.

  1. The estimated length of crocodiles spotted will continue to grow with the passing of time.
  2. The track ahead is always way rougher than anything that may have preceded it.
  3. The size and weight of fish caught increases after consumption.
  4. The height of the cliffs we dived off at Eliot Falls were almost as deep as the water we jumped in to.
  5. We brought all of this fire wood in from outside the National Park (Wendy is splitting hairs as she thinks this is a lie and not an exaggeration).
  6. These long drop toilets don’t smell.
  7. It’s safe to swim there.
  8. The next service station has cheaper fuel.
  9. The depth of creeks crossed increases as you drive way from them.
  10. The sunset was better last night!
