Wendy had always had a visit to Japan on our to-do list. Family connections to Japan had been the inspiration to explore a country, culture, food and sights. Including an extended pilgrams’ walk into the experience brought us face-to-face with aspects of life in Japan we may have otherwise missed.

Today was all about getting from Koyasan to Nakatsugawa via public transport linking up busses, a cable car, fast trains and really fast trains before a short walk to our overnight accommodation.
